FIRST AID/CPR/AED TRAINING

CAMPUS RESPONSE TEAM MEMBERS ONLY                                                                                      Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED Training

 

The Institution Emergency Campus Response Teams are not a replacement for an ambulance/off campus care.  The Campus Response Teams’ services will provide care for an individual until an ambulance arrives for the non-hospital areas, i.e. The Student Union.

 

Objectives:

*Minimize loss of life or injury

*Meet human service needs of employees, students, and faculty

*Ensure that response is effective, timely, and accurate

RESPONSE TEAM FIRST AID CPR AED Course - You may access the course registration forms by clicking on the link. Courses offered include Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and the Heartsaver AED courses.  These courses teach the basic techniques of adult, child, and infant CPR and how to use an AED. The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is most commonly found in airports and other public areas for those trained to use the device.   Upon completion and passing of the skills section of the course(s), you will receive a Heartsaver card which certifies that you have completed the objectives and skills in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association for the Heartsaver First Aid Program.
